You know my darling friends, the strongest question in the world is how much are you really hungry for the truth?
Let me ask you, do you know what purity means? A pure vessel is something which is absolutely completely clean. If I
am hungry for the truth because I don’t have it yet, then it means I mamesh have pure hunger for truth. If I think I know a lot but would like to know more, it’s not pure. Maybe it's good and sweet but it’s not clean and it’s not pure. So now look at the meraglim (spies).

The difference between Yehoshua, Calev and the rest of the spies was that Yehoshua and Calev had such a hunger.
They were really mamesh waiting for G-d saying 'let us know the truth, mamesh for real'.

It's very strange. It is possible to look at something which looks ugly to me, but I can pray to G-d and say 'please let me have the eyes to see that this thing should look most beautiful to me.' And this friends... this is the whole thing of this portion of the week.

What is the deepest depths of a person? The deepest depths of a person are the words they utter. The words we say didn’t come from what you see or what you hear, they come from the deepest depths there is. On a physical level I am composed from all sorts of parts. My heart, my foot, my ears. But then there is something much deeper than all this, the ALL of me. It's not one part of my body, it's mamesh my all. The words I utter don’t come from my heart, my soul, or my kishke. The words I utter are mamesh from that part of me which has to do with the 'all' of me. If that is sick then all the words I utter are sick.

How did the whole thing with the spies happen? It was words.

You have to remember one thing, how did the whole downfall of mankind begin? We listened to the snake, the snake said words... evil words, lashon hara. What is the downfall when you listen to evil words? They might be a hundred percent right but they are evil words. In last parsha Miriam saw something and she said what she saw. She was right but gevalt was she wrong.

And with the spies...they said what they saw, but gevalt were their words wrong.

So this Shabbos G-d is curing us that we should only listen to holy words.
